Beneath the star studded sky
few steps I walk
in wet sands
rustling leaves
snowy terrains
high peaks
Tis the journey enchanting
destinations often end the urge to live.

FROZEN STATUETTE

hours of unlimited quietness
awaiting to be broken
by your presence
metamorphosed into
a statuette ,
yearning moments of togetherness forever...

scattered leaves during the fall
blossomed flowers in times of spring
butterflies hovered over
yet the ephemeral moment remained unseen.

now an idol of frozen ice
white and pale in the weather
looks upon for a wanderer
who shall set ablaze the fire
to unfreeze the  frost layer after layer.

hark! the music flows

Free  spirits closer to the heart
are the moments of past
once a part of life
now as broken fragments 
in the abstract sky dark,
in form of myriad of stars
that shine
watching the gloomy weeping heart...

Trying to speak 
with the souls
who crave for their presence 
and are saddened by their depart!  

Sweet innocence touches the flower
blooming amidst the valleys
gazing unknowingly at the innocuous eyes
the blossoms love the impeccable smiling
Unlike the rough hands
which pluck and crush the petals
without reason ,
heartless and harsh,
It loves the presence of the
adorable childhood
and embraces it in the arms...

BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP

Greater are the bonds of friendship,
When the smile on your face,
Brings radiance on mine,
While a droplet of tear in your eyes,
Steals my  happiness and shine.

Years together we played and fought,
And never did we care for any other thought,
Jokes and pranks all the way,
Was the gist of life for a day.

 As we grew up and went apart,
On the path of life with a new start,
The road seemed so difficult,
With the friend's depart.

Travelling down the culvert of life,
Facing everyday some kind of strife,
We forget to live and smile,
Coz the friend whom we ignored ,
By whose jokes we got bored;
Is the one who kept us away from wile.

Friends go away,
But friendship stays,
Even after years apart,
Two friends still laugh,
As they did while eating the tart.

We realise this when we become old,
When there're many stories to be retold,
Because in the fight for survival,
We forget all our friends ,
And remembered the rivals.

Before it gets so late ,
That your friends become like nameplates,
Revive the bonds and the ties,
For this is the true value of life.
